Kayakers on Lake Union

It's starting to feel like fall outside. We haven't quite given up our summer activities, but the weather is a bit cooler and I'm savoring every moment outdoors before the rain begins. This shot of Kayakers on Seattle's Lake Union captures that feeling for me perfectly.

Next week I'll be writing more about what to with kids in Seattle's South Lake Union neighborhood

     Love the kayak shot! I'm not quite ready to give up on summer yet either but I'm having a hard time convincing myself that it's not over when I'm shivering!

     I can't believe summer is nearly over! I left our windows open last night and it was about 38 degrees in the house when I woke up this morning. Summer was way too short this year.

     I'm with you! Squeezing every last drop out of summer with a beach day today. And keeping the feeling going with a trip to Disney next week. I think I won't admit it's fall until the first freeze, which will come way too soon for me.

     This pic of the Photo Friday is what I like the most. Aside from kayaking is my interest, I like the weather, looks like anytime soon raining season comes.

     Are those kids doing the kayaks in the photo. I never thought of allowing our kids to such activity before. Might try one. It looks more of an extreme sport for them to try.

     Thanks everyone for the nice comments! Yes, we've had a good August and September - record sunny days. It's starting to feel like fall now though.

     The kids kayaking camp in the picture is run by the center for wooden boats. It sure looks like fun & my kids were intrigued.

     This is a gorgeous shot! I love the detail that you've captured in the sky/clouds. Kayaking is something I haven't done since my trip to SE Asia in 2008. I can't wait to do it again soon :)

     Hi Debbie, your kids must be sporty. They are great that they can do kayaking at their very young age. I myself tried kayaking when I was 14 y/o. :D
